Response to science lab

This science lab is about chemical reactions. Our teacher split everyone into groups of three or four people. After she split us up, we followed the procedures on our sheet to change the color of the starch. We poured ten drops of iodine into our beaker that was filled with water. After that we put a plastic baggie into the mixture and waited fifteen minutes for the chemical reaction to occur. After my group took our bag out of the water we saw that their was an immediate change in color to our previously milky white starch. It had turned dark purple! We concluded that the baggie was permeable to the iodine. The iodine was able to seep through our baggie and change the color of our starch. That was our science lab.
